Local Emergency Services
(example of neighbor territories & Human evacuation) Nevada County CA Office of Emergency Services (OES) works to mitigate, prepare, respond, and assist with recovery from disasters and emergencies. Examples of these include: mitigation – fire plan measures; preparation – evacuation exercise; response – emergency operations center; recovery – FEMA interface. Community Emergency Response Team (for Humans) (CERT) – Locally over 200 people have been trained to help their communities in a disaster or emergency. CERT training includes disaster medical, light search and rescue, and small fire suppression skills. If you would like to be trained to be a Disaster Service Worker, please contact the County Health Department
