I pondered on my way to the 4/14/14 BLM meeting Sacramento the eerie address *Tribute Road, ‘Marriot sidetracking at minimal- praying isn’t an omen`
– I gave an Attendant’ee News Recap. Community Speech approx 3PM, where each individual &/or organization was timed and concluded at (3) three minutes.
New to the BLM Forum but not new to Animals; I said hello & thank you BLM for the opportunity to speak- I introduced myself, and I started right in with:
I heard today from BLM Panel :
– BLM is struggling financially.
– BLM has quoted an astronomical number for “care” of a caught Horse &/or Burro, at approx $40K.
– I commented I only saw a Pie Chart from BLM not details or facts & I want to know them. I stated it sounded like (an annual) Career Fund, to me (???) questioning their data-
– I asked, how they interpret this $40 “care”- How EXACTLY- do they exercise these animals? I repeated- I want to know, How DO You Exercise these animals? With blank stares at me, I addressed that is NOT CARE, that is MIS-MANAGEMENT!
– I asked, fore $40K Where Is Their Shelter?! (What are they like?) Again dull stares, That is MIS- MANAGMENT, I stated.
– BLM is struggling financially and I heard Director of BLM, Joan Guilfoyle spoke in a morbid tone, BLM is soliciting for Helicopters re: Round-Ups.
– I heard that there are and has been economical, easy and some even reversible BIRTH CONTROL.
– I heard BLM address that the Birth Control in fact is speculated to be too easy & economical –{(guesstimated at approx 80cents- female horse)- O-rings are simple, reversible and frankly too cheap/ speculated No $ in market, so no further documentations and is prevalent that Greed Factor is an underlying topic. BLM addressed a few times that they asked for new birth control recommendations and seemed annoyed that that (16) sixteen where suggested. I think that is fantastic considering there is male & female with only so much you can do, plus science already had previous studies. BLM addressed they did have success in the past reducing the population on the public land range and failed to address why those programs never continued or got stronger.)}
– I stated that I think that Government has Ranchers and Horse Advocates right where they want them: At War (with each other- distraction) – Forecast Financials are less than 1% goes to Agriculture while more than 85% goes to Military. US Military uses more oil a day than the Country of Sweden.
– Joan, had mentioned Pasture of Contract & Ages of Law and Holdings, I said {when timer chimed I had only a minute left}- I tried to gather my nerves (speaking in public composure) and continued with
– There ARE Alternatives and Resources-
– I stand before you BLM, as a voice of, The Youth Of The Nation, and many of us are proving we are not in Favor of the, Old and Ineffective Ways of the BLM…

I wasn’t nearly done but… I also heard powerful presenters Scientists, Veterinarians, Equine Professionals, Government Workers, School Teachers, NV Association of Counties, Ranchers, Advocates, Conservation Districts, Social Services, Youth Alliances, Networking Teams and many more….
Seems unanimous approx 80% + of USA is expressing we do not stand for unnecessary Horse &/or Other Animal abuse, cruelty, neglect and/or slaughter-

In defense of Animals, writes Horses have a long history of suffering in America. After a lifetime of being abused in the rodeo industry, the horse racing industry, and the carriage horse industry, horses are frequently dumped by irresponsible “owners” at auctions or abandoned on public lands.
If you thought the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is a neutral land management agency, please know that they are anything but. The BLM views horses as a threat to livestock interests and routinely rounds up whole herds and brutally slaughters them in order to keep their cattle rancher cronies happy. It just happened last month to 41 beautiful abandoned horses in Wyoming.
